In the land of 'All is well'
Lived a wise young girl named Ellie Bell.
This little gal's imagination was wild
You see she was not just a regular child.
She traveled the world to far across lands.
Flew with the geese, fed crocodiles with bare hands.
If ever in danger she would jump up and down
or wiggle her toes,
Snap her finger's, or wrinkle her nose.
Or simply jump on her witch's broom,
But whatever she'd do she'd bounce back to her room.
One foggy morning while sailing the coast
Flew a giant Crane as white as a ghost.
She was not afraid but quite surprised
Just to make sure she rubbed the sleep from her eyes
And when she removed each of her hands
She set out to find this big bird's demand.
When she asked him his name he said "I am Maloney,
I'm out here alone, and really quite lonely.
She paused and said: "I know what you need"
as he ruffled his feathers,
"I challenge you to one game of checkers".
They'd jump and they'd stack
With each players attack.
But in the end
Ellie let the Crane win.
They traveled a while, shared cookies and tea
Till they came to a sign near the Caspian Sea:
"We welcome you to our magical land,
Where creatures run free and play in the sand".
Maloney was eager to see this new place,
He gave Ellie a hug and pecked her sweet face.
Opened his wings and bid his farewell.
Ellie wrinkled her nose and was back to 'All is Well'.
She arrived back home just in time for supper,
Macaroni and cheese that was made by her father
They sat at the table.
Dad asked, "Where have you been?"
She replied "Just sailing the seas with my feathery friend".
