Caramelot

In the land of Caramelot
Little kids' teeth did rot.
From sugary chews and sticky goo.

In town signs stood tall:
"Sugar sold here, no vegetables, Not At All."
Little Lucy was a Sugary Sweet,
loved caramel atop of everything she'd eat.
Caramel dipped ice cream,
Dipped candy bars too.
Carmel on top of more caramel.
In reds greens and blues.
Far down the road across the river of gold
stretched unknown land to the Sugary Sweets.

With sticky fingers and goodies in hand
Lucy wandered to this new land.
She saw strange things in the ground
Tall, woody and brown
with red and green sparkly globes like Christmas.

The town sign greeted her with pretty red writing:

"Welcome To Appleton:"

She thought "how inviting?"

Appleton was full of apples in many a size.
Applesauce to apple pies.
Apples sliced and diced and cored and skewed.
The air smelled of apple cinnamon cider being brewed.
All alone sitting in a field sat little Andy Crisp eating an apple he'd perfectly peeled.
Andy Crisp and little Lucy sweet
Met and shared a bite to eat.
Dunking the apples in warm caramel strands
began caramel apples they'd share with their lands.
Caramelot, where teeth would rot
gave something so sweet to Appleton.
And you know what they say about an apple a day...
Caramel apples brought joy to everyone.
